Before We Quote an Overseas Buyer, We Usually Ask These 8 Questions

A quote has to be fast — but more than that, it has to be right. Answer these eight questions and the price we send will be accurate, with no back-and-forth revisions later.

1. Which products exactly?

We need the item numbers and specifications confirmed, so we don’t quote against the wrong model.

2. Roughly what quantity this time?

A sample order, a small trial batch, or a full container? Unit price varies a lot by volume.

3. Which port is the cargo going to?

FOB (you arrange shipping), or CIF / DDP (we deliver to your port or warehouse)? Freight differs widely by destination port.

4. Standard timber and finish, or something special?

Our default is Guibourtia (African ebony) with a natural hardwax oil. Do you want a different species, colour or finish?

5. Any customisation?

Can dimensions be adjusted, do you want your logo on the product or your own labels on the packaging, or any special size requirements? Custom work adds both cost and time.

6. When do you need the goods?

Tea tables normally take 30–45 days to produce. What is the latest delivery date on your project? Rush orders need a priority slot.

7. Which export certificates do you need?

North America requires CARB P2; Europe asks for FSC / CE. Do you need a fumigation certificate? All of these affect cost.

8. How would you like to arrange payment?

New customers usually work on 30% deposit + 70% before shipment; established customers can discuss L/C. Which suits you?
